Welcome to American Lakes School – Home of the Eagles!

I hope that you have had a wonderful summer!  I am excited to be returning to American Lakes School for my second year as Principal!  

It is a pleasure to be the leader of a school community that has such amazing scholars, staff and families.  Our mission at American Lakes is to provide a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment. Through the International Baccalaureate and STEM programs, American Lakes plays a central role in closing the educational achievement gaps with scholars while motivating them to take action and ownership of their learning as they develop the skills necessary to compete in a globally minded society.  American Lakes received our International Baccalaureate (IB) authorization last year for the Primary Years Program (PYP).  This is a huge accomplishment and we are excited to continue our work in IB with our committed, collaborative, caring and exemplary staff to increase our scholars academic success.

American Lakes has a number of opportunities for parents to become involved on campus including School Site Council (SSC), the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), the Principal’s Advisory Council and as a volunteer.  As I mentioned earlier, American Lakes has some amazing parents and families and your involvement in your scholars school is instrumental to their success.

I am looking forward to what the 2023-2024 school year will bring and I am so happy to be going on this journey with you!
