We have an exciting opportunity to provide a summer bridge program to some of our scholars for the coming school year! BCS Summer Bridge is meant to be a short one week program, July 26 – July 30 from 8-11:00 a.m. to help jumpstart scholars in a fun way to the start of their year.
We are excited about our 8th grade promotion ceremony being held at Natomas High School’s Paul Shimada Stadium on Tuesday, June 8th at 3 p.m. Click the link above to view the program.
We are so thrilled to have our students back on campus 5 days a week for in-person instruction, and we’re glad that we are able to continue offering the distance learning option to families for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year which ends June 10. Beyond that, there is no indication from the state that distance learning will continue to be allowed in response to the COVID pandemic. All indications at this time show that schools will be back to in-person instruction solely in the fall.
In reaching an agreement with the Natomas Teachers’ Association, NUSD restores 5 day a week in-person instruction, maintains family choice, maintains safety measures as about 50% of our students return 5 days a week on Monday, April 12.
As we expected and shared with you on Sunday evening, Sacramento County is now in the red tier, a less restrictive tier that allows secondary students (6-12) to return to in-person instruction.
We are getting one step closer to reopening for secondary grades (6-12). On Friday afternoon, we learned that Sacramento County may be moving into the red tier on Tuesday, March 16, the tier needed to be able to reopen for in-person instruction for middle and high school. If this holds, secondary in-person will start on Monday, March 22. We will know more on Tuesday.
