Meet Kristen Yelle. Ms. Yelle started her life in Davis, CA, but shortly after moved to new homes all around the country including Portland, OR and Stamford, CT. Although Ms. Yelle did not live in one place for more than 4 years, she does consider Sacramento to be home. Ms. Yelle states, “growing up was always an adventure and I found joy in learning about the new places I lived in.” Believe it or not, Ms. Yelle attended Cal Poly SLO to become a doctor and worked as an after-school STEM program director. After a few years, working as a STEM program director made her realize that seeing the bright, smiling faces of her students each day was her daily “bucket filler” so she changed career paths.

What brought Ms. Yelle to PVS?

Ms. Yelle has a passion for STEM and loves the opportunity to work at a school where that is incorporated in many different ways!

What is her proudest moment?

Her proudest moment so far was the day that she was offered a position as a teacher at PVS!
