I have been teaching Spanish for about 5 years. I look forward to being your child’s Spanish Teacher this year. Spanish in class Activities Kinder - Second Grade Class time activities will consist of Calendar activities, roleplaying, games, movement songs, and table activities. Third – Fifth Grade Class time activities will consist of Calendar activities, role-playing, mini-booklets, poem booklet, journal booklet, cultural awareness enrichment, class presentations posters on-line program and review packets. Project for Fluent Spanish Speakers Presentations are Spanish Song/dance, Children’s Literature Book translation, Spanish Buddies/Mini Maestros, Class Book. Spanish Curriculum The Spanish curriculum is based on a thematic unit approach on topics from the World Language Content Standards for California Public Schools K-12. Spanish Vocabulary is enhanced through hands on activities, songs and dances. Behavior Expectations Students are expected to follow H. Allen Hight’s behavior expectations in the Spanish classroom. Parents will be notified immediately via email, phone call, or a note home if your child has issues in follow classroom expectations in Spanish class.
