August _Week 1 Hello Parents! Welcome back to a new school year! I am very pleased to teach your child this year. I hope that despite distance learning, I will be able to provide your child with a rigorous course! A WEEK IN A GLANCE What will the beginning of the school year look like? Apart from welcoming the new students, the third grade team will be reviewing second grade standards at least for the first couple weeks of school. I will try to teach this in an accelerated manner to catch your child up to third grade standards. Math Review second grade math ELA/Social-Science Character building - growth mindset reading Writing Write about your summer - informal pre-assessment to determine student writing skill.
