Participate in Anti-Bullying PSA Contest for Bullying Prevention Awareness Month

Last year, students designed a poster related to bullying prevention. This year, students are invited to submit a 60-second PSA that will help spread their message about how each of us (individually or as a group) can prevent/end bullying in a kind, nonviolent manner. The contest will be divided into four winners: K-3, 4-6, 7-8, and grades 9-12.

Thank you for enrolling in the Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) for the 2020-2021 school year. While we know these are new and challenging times, NUSD is committed to providing all students with textbooks and to closing the digital divide to ensure that all of our students have access to a Chromebook and WiFi to engage in distance learning.

Distance Learning will be much different than last spring

Despite our best efforts to provide families with options that best meet the needs of their students to start the 2020-21 school year, due to the increase of COVID-19 contact spread, limited national COVID-19 testing, and contact tracer shortage, Natomas Unified School District students will begin the school year with distance learning.

6 Pillars to Successfully Reopening Schools

Superintendent Chris Evans presented our local plan to reopen our schools for 2020-21. Our local plan will follow state and county guidelines. It provides parents options for their students while keeping education and safety for all Natomas Unified front and center.

NUSD Expands Mobile Meal Service

We are excited to share that effective Friday, May 1, we will expand our Mobile Meal Service to include supper, snack, and weekend meals. The mobile meal service will continue to be available at all 15 sites between 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. To practice social distancing, parents are asked to remain in their vehicles for pick up and walkers are asked to follow the instructions of staff when they arrive to ensure the safety of everyone.

Free food for 18 and under during school closure

Natomas Unified School District Nutrition Services will provide an opportunity for families to pick up lunch and breakfast for the following day in a mobile walk up or drive-thru meal service for children 18 and under. This will occur on Friday, March 13th and Monday, March 16th at four school sites from 11:30 am-12:00 pm.
