L'école en France (the school in France)

Read the vocabulary first:

le bac - high school exit exam
le lycée - the high school (in France it is 3 years)
le collège - the middle school (in France it is 4 years)
la terminale - the senior year
la première - the junior year
la seconde - the sophomore year
redoubler - to repeat a year
in French school when the students get older, the grade number goes down, for example students go from the third grade to the second, from the second to the first, etc.
