On February 19, 2021, the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) sent out a Memo with new, updated California Department of Public Health (CDPH) information in relation to high school Athletics. The new memo in addition to the new sport calendar are linked below.
As a reminder, each league will now be forming their own seasons. Once the Capital Valley Conference (CVC) – Inderkum HS has created their season of sport timelines and schedules, and they are approved, they will be posted on the website.
Practices and competitions may begin as soon as allowed by the California Department of Public Health (colored tiers) and Sacramento County health authority guidelines, and in accordance with the leagues’ seasons of sport calendar, and with District approval.
This is only a one year adjustment due to the pandemic and we will return to a normal, three season sports season (fall, winter, spring) the following year.
Athletic Directors/Coaching Staff will adjust their game schedules, practice schedules, and training regimens to best prepare the student-athletes for this new adaptation of the schedule.
