View Calendar, Tasks, & Keep from Gmail
Organize your tasks into lists
New Inbox Views
Change how spacious or compact you want your inbox view. In the top right, click Settings Display density.
Tip: If you choose Default, you’ll get a preview of your attachments from your inbox.
Show or hide the menu
To make room for previewing your email, you can expand or shrink your inbox view by clicking Menu .

You can now use Google Calendar, Keep, and Tasks while in Gmail.
On the right of your inbox, click these icons:
Calendar : View your daily schedule, click events to edit them, create new events, and jump to upcoming events.
Keep : Create checklists and take notes. Learn how to use Google Keep.
Tasks : Add to-do’s and deadlines.
Task List
- On the right, click Tasks .
- Click Add a task.
- Enter a task.
- To add details or a due date, click Edit .
- When you’re done, click Back .
Tip: To rearrange your tasks, click More My order. Drag the tasks.
Save an email as a task
- On the right, click Tasks .
- In your inbox, find the email you want to save as a task.
- Drag the email to the side panel.
Organize your tasks into lists
You can separate different kinds of tasks, like your work and personal items.
- On the right, click Tasks .
- At the top, click the Down arrow Create new list.
- Enter a name for the list, then click OK.
- To go to a different list, click the Down arrow . Choose another list.
Snooze Emails
Note: Gmail must be in “Conversation View.” Learn how to group emails into conversations.
- Open an email or click the checkbox next to the email in your inbox.
- Find and click the Snooze button .
- Choose a later day and time to get the email.
To find your snoozed email
- Go to the Menu .
- Select Snoozed.
Tip: You can also search in:snoozed.
Email Nudges
You might see also old emails at the top of your inbox with a suggestion to reply or follow up.
To hide these suggestions:
- In the top right, click Settings Settings.
- In the “Nudges” section, uncheck Suggest emails to reply to or Suggest emails to follow up on.
Smart Replies
Quickly reply to emails using phrases that’ll show up based on the message you’ve received.
