If you have any issues or need help getting a substitute logged in, please submit a work order for IT to have one of our technicians assist.
- Does my substitute have an account to use? Only substitutes with assignments for 2 weeks or longer will receive access to accounts during their assignment. If there are any concerns with a short-term substitute being able to do their work without Google or IC, then these special requests need to be ran through HR.
- Will they receive a computer from IT? Substitutes should be using the sub kits we provided to all the schools. If a teacher substitute will be with you for a long time (3-6 months), we can deploy a MacBook to them by request.
- What is their username? Username is typically first initial + last name.
- Has the substitute logged into their Google account before? They use the password they had previously. We do not reset these passwords unless requested to do so. Please submit a work order if they need it reset.
- What is the password for a new substitute? We use a default password for new district accounts. If you need to know the default password for a new substitute, please submit a work order for IT.
- Is this the first time they’ve ever logged in? They must log into a computer first; this is what activates their Google account. Have them log into your laptop before giving them a Chromebook to use.
