Apple – How to Power Cycle an AppleTV

If you are having issues with getting disconnected/kicked off or not seeing your specific AppleTV (ATV),please do the following:

  • Hold down the “menu” and “down” arrow buttons simultaneously (pointing it towards the ATV) and wait for the LED/light on the ATV to blink rapidly.
  • When you see LED/light on the ATV blink rapidly you may let go of the buttons.
  • This procedure if done correctly will now restart your ATV and you should now be able to see or stay connected to the Apple TV.

Note: If your ATV is in a spot where you can not see the LED/light (high vaulted ceilings). Hold both buttons for 10 – 15 sec and release. Look at projector/TV screen for the restart.
