Black History Research Report

Week of Feb 18 - Feb 22

Hello Panther families,

This week, students will begin research of a historically significant African American.

Last week, we introduced the unit by discussing the difference between famous and significant, and discussing the roles that African Americans have played in American history and society. Students chose a historcally significant African American from a variety of fields - names ranged from Harriet Tubman to Jesse Owens to Quincy Jones to Barak Obama.

Students will research the significant contributions these leaders made and choose a presentation mode. Presentations may be a choice of one of the following: Tri-Fold Board, Song, Poem, or Autobiographical Narration.
