What does a perfect world mean to you? In the 8th grade’s English classes we are discussing what a perfect world looks like for us, and if one will ever exist. The word for a perfect world is called a Utopia. Some people think that a Utopia is possible, on the other hand, some people think it will never happen. Many argue that people have different ideas of what  this wonderful perfect world is, thus making it impossible.

We want to know, what’s your idea of a perfect world, and do you think it will ever occur?

We asked some students about their ideas. Jair L, 8th grade, said  he imagines a perfect world where everyone is happy, it’s sunny, people are doing what they want, no one ever gets sick, and there is an unlimited resources. Jair thinks this world can exist if you lived in a society where people had the same thoughts as you, and no because most people could have different opinions. Jenna G, 8th grade, said her idea of a faultless world is  all people are happy, and everyone gets their way. Jenna thinks such a world can never exist. Ronan L, 6th grade, believes cooperation, a city with no crime, and a place where the economy is good would make a flawless society. Ronan thinks this superb world will eventually happen. Ronan directly said,”Yes because people will figure it out at some point.”  Josephine C, a 7th grader, wants a warm peaceful place in the country. She doesn’t think a place like this will ever occur. In conclusion, many people have many great ideas about what a perfect world is. We hope a perfect world will happen eventually, but with all these ideas it just might be impossible. What is your Utopia?
