Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. My name is Tipkretar (Aimly) Sirisarnsombat, and my students find it easiest to call me Ms. S! This will be my first year teaching at NP3 Middle School, and I am beyond thrilled to be joining such a positive, caring, close-knit, and student-centered school community for the 2015-2016 school year. I was born in Thailand but largely grew up in the Sacramento area. I participated in the GATE program from third grade to fifth grade at Pershing Elementary School, studied in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program from sixth grade to eighth grade at Winston Churchill Middle School, and eventually graduated from Mira Loma High School with an IB Diploma.
For my undergraduate degrees, I attended the University of California, San Diego and graduated with a double major in Political Science and Literature in Writing with Honors of the Highest Distinction. It was during my college years that I realized my love for teaching after working with middle, high school, and college students in various tutoring positions. I then completed my Single Subject Secondary Teaching Credential in English with BCLAD in Spanish at the University of California, Davis. I will also be continuing my graduate education and teacher research at UC Davis in the Master of Arts in Education program.
Aside from teaching, I have always been an avid reader since early childhood and hope to inspire students to love reading as well. I love to write creatively in my spare time as well as practice yoga and Zumba. I am a huge fan of spicy Thai food, ice cream and other desserts, Pixar movies, Disneyland, board/card games, spending time with my family and friends, and pugs.
