Francisco Sanchez
Natomas High School, Class of 2013

Francisco Sanchez’ teachers throughout his educational journey in Natomas Unified certainly had a positive impact on his goal to pursue a career in education. After attending American River College and transferring to UC Santa Barbara, this 2013 Natomas High School graduate recently became a new full-time Assistant Professor of Mathematics at American River College. “It was Mrs. Addington at Bannon Creek, who taught pre-algebra to a small group of us, and Ms. Resch at Leroy Greene, who helped me develop an interest in math with her project on platonic solids,” said Sanchez. That strong foundation in the early years prepared him for the next level at Natomas High School where he credits teachers like Ms. Temple, Mrs. Hennessy, and Mr. Peck for developing a love for math in him that would last.

Math wasn’t the only thing he fell in love with at Natomas High School. That’s where he met his high school sweetheart. They are now married and expecting their first bundle of joy in early 2020.
