With our elementary students, whose families have chosen for them to return to in-person instruction, coming back on campus next week and our vaccination clinic open and serving our staff and community,  effective February 24, 2021, the Natomas Unified School District Board Meetings will be open to the public at a limited capacity. This is in alignment with guidance from the State of California and County of Sacramento.

While our Board Meetings will now be in-person, we will continue to provide them to the community via livestream, and recorded meetings will be available the day after the Board meeting at http://staging.natomasunified.org/board-of-trustees/videos/

To meet seating configurations that are aligned with social distancing guidelines, seating for the public will be limited.   Individuals who choose to attend the Board Meeting in-person are required to adhere to the following safety precautions:

  • Wear a mask (or similar face covering) for the duration of their time inside the Education Center.
  • Take their temperature and self-screen for symptoms of COVID-19 before entering the building.
  • Anyone who has a temperature of 100.1 degrees or higher, or is exhibiting symptoms, should not attend in person.
  • There will be a free-standing/touchless temperature machine at the entrance of the Education Center for those who forget to take their temperature before leaving home.

Individuals wishing to give a public comment have two options:  comments can be made in-person if capacity allows or via eComment at [email protected].  With 5 Board members and up to 10 staff that only leaves approximately 5 seats for the public based on the capacity allowed in the room.  If an individual needs assistance submitting an eComment, they may call Constituent and Customer Services at (916) 561-5253 prior to 12:00 p.m. on February 24, 2021, for assistance.
