NUSD Community,

We are pleased to announce that we will be able to continue providing summer meals through August 26th, the day before the first day of school at all but three of our designated mobile curbside pick-up locations. Since Natomas Charter, STAR Academy, and Westlake Charter begin the school year on August 12th, their summer feeding will continue through August 11th, as part of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) extension of waivers for summer meals.

As a reminder, these meals are available for free to anyone 18 years and under regardless of what school they attend. No paperwork is required. Parents can pick up meals for their children as long as they provide any one of the documentations below. The meals include breakfast and lunch and are distributed Monday – Friday between 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the sites listed in the attached flyer.  Weekend meals are distributed on Fridays.

If a child is not present with a parent/guardian during pickup, we recommend that the parent/guardian provide the following documentation for pickup:

  • Official letter/email from children’s school that shows children as enrolled
  • Individual student report cards
  • Attendance record from the Parent Portal
  • Birth Certificate for children not in school
  • Student ID Cards

Please remember to remain in your vehicle to be served and to adhere to the 6 feet social distancing rule if you require a walk-up service. We will be happy to serve you!
