Welcome to Natomas Unified School District’s Early Learning Program! NUSD has many opportunities for learning and development for children ages birth through five and their families. First 5 Sacramento funds and supports NUSD’s programs for our community.

Preschool/First 5

Enrolling Now for 2021-2022 School Year

Natomas Unified School District offers a free preschool program serving children who reside in Natomas. The program is offered Monday-Friday for three hours a day with a morning and afternoon session. The program is for children who will be 3 or 4 years old by December 2nd of the current school year and based on eligibility.

Transitional Kindergarten

Enrolling Now for 2021-2022 School Year

Natomas Unified School District offers transitional kindergarten (TK) to students who turn 5 between September 2nd and December 2nd of the academic school year they are enrolling. Program is offered Monday-Friday for 6 hours (full day) approximately 7:45 a.m. – 1:40 p.m. 

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is an opportunity for students to have an additional year of experience working with peers and foundational skills before Kindergarten. Kindergarten

Enrolling Now for 2021-2022 School Year

Natomas Unified School District offers kindergarten to students who turn 5 on or before September 1st of the academic year they are enrolling. Kindergarten is offered Monday-Friday for 6 hours approximately 7:45 a.m. – 1:40 p.m. combining direct instruction, small group instruction, hands-on activities, and use of technology to provide a rich and well-rounded program.
