Supt. Chris Evans

In his tenth year at Natomas Unified, Superintendent Chris Evans oversees a growing, diverse district located several miles north of the Capitol that serves approximately 17,000 students. Since his arrival, NUSD has received World School Authorization for its International Baccalaureate Diploma, Primary and Middle Years Programmes and has been selected to offer the AP Capstone Diploma program at Natomas High School. Natomas Unified has received local, state, and national recognition for academic, social emotional, and physical health successes.  

In support of the district vision, “NUSD will provide an engaging and safe learning community where all students will demonstrate responsibility, achieve academic and social-emotional growth, embrace diversity, and are prepared to make decisions about their college and career success,” Superintendent Evans is committed to ensuring students are provided with numerous college and career readiness options ranging from Culinary Arts/Hospitality to Robotics, Engineering, Visual Arts, Business/Marketing, Broadcasting, Health-care careers, and within the last two years, the addition of Public Safety, Building and Construction Trades, Music Production Pathway, and Cosmetology. Supported by a wonderful staff and supportive community, Superintendent Evans and the NUSD Board of Trustees are committed to doing what’s best for our students.  Mr. Evans’ Sacramento roots extend back to his college days, when he attended CSU Sacramento. A Natomas resident, the superintendent is the proud father of three NUSD graduates.
