Welcome to Two Rivers Elementary School! The community of Two Rivers Elementary is committed to excellence by supporting student growth in all areas; academic, social-emotional, and physical development. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is at the forefront of all that we do. We are an AVID school; this helps us provide all students with the necessary strategies for success as their path to college and career begins. AVID’s mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. Through AVID Elementary, students will develop the academic habits they will need to be successful in middle school, high school, and college, in an age-appropriate and challenging way. Our students will learn more about organization, study skills, communication, and self-advocacy. We will also continue our focus on developing the literacy skills of our students through AVID writing and a culmination of grade level-specific strategies.
NUSD is launching the use of ParentSquare at all schools district-wide as our primary communication tool to share information with families. This change is a result of feedback from NUSD families who requested that we streamline the way we communicate. All information from our school, as well as the district office, will be provided using ParentSquare. We encourage all families to download the app in the Apple or Google Play store as soon as possible to be able to access all the features and benefits. One feature that we are extremely excited about is access to 125+ languages. Families can choose the language of their preference to receive and send messages with school and district staff. Please visit the NUSD website that has a page dedicated to all things ParentSquare including how to access it, training, how-to-guides, frequently asked questions, multiple videos, handouts, printed documents, and more. Please be sure to sign up! While ParentSquare will be used for communications, student’sclass assignments/schedules,grades and attendance information will continue to be shared via Infinite Campus so we encourage parents to keep the IC Portal to have access to those two items.
Two Rivers welcomes all of our families to participate in our students’ education! There are several ways to become involved in the Two Rivers community. Throughout the year, we will be providing you with information on our school website, in teacher newsletters, calendars, email newsletters, and with Parent Square. You may also access the Infinite Campus Parent Portal from our school website at staging.natomasunified.org/tre. To volunteer on campus, please complete a volunteer application.
