Why Larry G. Meeks Academy

Larry G. Meeks Academy (LGMA) is a virtual school that offers many hybrid learning opportunities.  The school allows parents/guardians to ensure they have a remote learning option with ample opportunities for students to still come on campus for in person learning events and activities.  Our teachers offer flexible learning experiences where students learn, not only the required state standards, but also focus on our core values: the BOLTS.

At LGMA, we provide learning experiences where our students learn to be scholars by learning the tenets of our BOLTS mantra, which is to show or be Brilliant, Observant, Leadership, Tenacity, and Service. Our educators embed opportunities within learning for LGMA scholars to develop and showcase their BOLTS skills.  We also focus on the use of technology to help our scholars gain Leadership skills in today’s tech-savvy world.

IS LARRY G. MEEKS ACADEMY RIGHT FOR MY STUDENT?

LGMA is the type of school where scholars can master learning from the comfort of their own home, yet have the staff available to support them if and when they truly need assistance.  Our school focuses on gradual independence with the backbone of technology as scholars learn how to use advanced programs using both Google and Apple technological platforms.  Scholars who have both parental support and have some basic independent skills to log in at appropriate times for learning are the two strongest factors that will help students succeed at LGMA.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL?

• LGMA has grades 7 & 8 as part of their school,
• For High School: Natomas High School, Inderkum High School and:
• Any other Natomas Unified school that has middle or high school grades that has space,
