The Natomas Unified School District Board of Education approved a 3-year Contract Agreement with CSEA #745, our labor partner that represents the district’s classified employees, during a Special Board meeting held this morning.  The 3-Year Contract Agreement includes an 11% ongoing raise over the next three years, with 10% coming in the next two years. It also includes 5% on one-time money in 2022-23, and 2% more in 2023-2024, to help address inflation. There was also an increase in Natomas Unified’s contribution to each employee’s health/welfare benefits of $90/month, as well as a recognition of longevity, and an agreement to increase professional growth. While there are other areas in the agreement to celebrate, we just wanted to highlight a few that reflect our strong collaboration.

We are grateful for the partnership that we have with CSEA and the Board’s approval of this agreement. Our classified employees continually demonstrate a strong work ethic that is reflected in their commitment and care for our students, their families and the organization. We are so fortunate to have them as part of the NUSD family. Classified employees represent, among other positions, the nutrition services workers, custodians, office support, grounds crew, technology team, campus safety specialists and many others. This is the second in a row 3-year agreement between NUSD and CSEA #745. Negotiations with our Teacher’s Association are on-going and have made progress, but no deal is yet in place.
